Welcome to The Keystone Clinic
The Keystone Psychotherapy Clinic
We are a group of professional and experienced psychotherapists offering private therapy in East Cork and West Waterford. We provide counselling as well as appropriate psycho-education in the field of mental health.
We Offer Safe, Effective, Evidence-Based Therapy Centred Around Your Individual Concerns
At the Keystone Clinic our therapeutic focus is integrative, which means that instead of using one specific psychological approach, our therapists integrate theories from multiple approaches to best accommodate each client’s needs. Individual therapists also have specific orientations based on their training, which informs their practice. For this reason we try to match clients with the therapist who will best help you with your concerns. To learn more about this, please see our approaches page. You can learn more about our individual therapists on their personal pages.
What IS Counselling and How can it help?
Counselling (or psychotherapy) provides a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to explore your experience.
With the support of a trained and experienced professional, you can work through issues that are causing you pain. Feelings such as anger, grief, shame, anxiety and loneliness can be difficult to manage.
As the relationship of trust develops with your counsellor, you will learn to see yourself more clearly, and develop new skills and perspectives.
Your counsellor will not give you advice or tell you what to do, but will help you untangle the threads of your experience that you are struggling with. The safe space created by you and your therapist will allow healing to begin and enable you to take charge of your own life.
"We believe in the dignity of all human beings and in their right to receive the help they need."
"We believe everyone deserves to be met with unconditional positive regard, and to be seen as a whole person."
"We believe in the power of therapy to heal wounds and to transform lives."
