Tim is an Accredited Counsellor with APCP and Registered Social Worker with CORU. Tim holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and Diploma of Counselling. Prior to setting up private practice in Ireland, Tim worked in Sydney, Australia, where he trained as a counsellor and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Over the past 10 years, Tim has worked in Senior Counsellor and Clinical Lead roles in a variety of mental health and substance use treatment services, helping people recover from significant life challenges. Some of the issues Tim can help with include anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse, trauma, suicidal thoughts, family conflict, relationship problems, bereavement, and unresolved issues from childhood. Tim works with individuals, couples and families. He sees adults and young people who are 16 and above.

Whether an individual, couple or family, Tim works with you to develop a shared understanding of your concerns, before discussing suitable treatment options. We then develop a tailored plan for how we can work together to reach your hoped for outcomes. Tim’s approach incorporates a range of therapies including Person Centred Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, EMDR, Family Therapy, and CBT, depending on the presenting issue and your needs as a client. Safety, confidentiality and respect for the preferences, values, and dignity of each client is at the heart of Tim’s therapeutic process.
